What is The Pekoe Trail?
The Pekoe Trail by Serendipity Trails is a 300km trail winding from Hantana to Nuwara Eliya via Tawalantenna, the Bogawantalawa Valley, Haputale, Ella, Ettampitiya, Pussellawa, and Kandapola.
It is funded by the European Union with additional support from the U.S. Agency for International Development, on behalf of Sri Lanka Tourism.
The Pekoe Trail connects tea estate roads, national parks, and forest trails, and passes near approximately 80 villages and small towns, giving travelers a taste of the beauty of Sri Lanka’s hill country, as well as opportunities to learn about its history and culture and interact with local communities.
