The Bungalow

This guest house is a 17th-century bungalow located in a Dutch fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests are invited to stay in 6 rooms, furnished for comfort. The bungalow has been carefully restored while retaining most of the elements of the original design.

Guests can enjoy their time in the cozy air-conditioned TV lounge with cable TV (including sports channels), as well as an extensive collection of films for children for children and adolescents.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas.

The bungalow restaurant – one of the latest additions to the fort – serves dishes that will appeal to travelers seeking a new experience. Friendly staff will make sure that visiting the restaurant is unforgettable. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The bungalow is built at the crossroads, where there are also two of the most iconic sights of Fort Galle, namely the Dutch Reformed Church and All Saints Church. The distance to both attractions does not exceed 100 meters. A beach starts 500 meters from the guest house, and the scenic beaches and nightclubs of Unawatuna Village are a 10-minute drive away. Halle Train Station is 1 km from the bungalow, and the famous lighthouse and other historical sites are less than 1 km away (the walk takes no more than a few minutes). Numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and local boutiques are also within walking distance.
